Pradosh Vrat is the fast for Shiva on Trayodashi, the thirteenth day of each half of the month, so twice a month. The puja is in Pradosh Kaal, the twilight after sunset, when Shiva is believed to dance in joy on Kailash.
The fast is on the day whose Pradosh Kaal holds more of Trayodashi. It is named after the weekday: Soma Pradosh on Monday, Bhauma Pradosh on Tuesday and Shani Pradosh on Saturday are considered especially rewarding.
Times are IST for New Delhi. Sunrise-based dates can differ by a day in other cities, so check a local panchang if you live far from Delhi.
