How the test works

You get 30 puzzles, ordered from easy to hard, and each one has a single best answer. Take your time: the test is untimed, and you can skip a puzzle if you get stuck.

When you finish, you see your level from 1 to 6, based on how many puzzles you solved. The levels describe your own score, not a ranking against other people.

The six skills

Patterns: find the rule across a 3×3 grid of shapes. Sequences: work out what comes next as a figure changes step by step. Numbers: spot how a series of numbers grows or shifts, with no heavy arithmetic.

Logic: reason from a few facts to a sure conclusion, such as who sits where. Word meaning: see how ideas relate, through analogies and the odd one out. Spatial: picture a shape after it has been turned or flipped.

Every puzzle was written for this site. None is copied or adapted from published tests or puzzle books, and none depends on spelling or wordplay, so each one works the same in English and Hindi.

What the full report adds

The optional full report shows your exact score out of 30 and a skill-by-skill breakdown, so you can see where you are strongest and what to practise next.

It also goes through every question with the correct answer and a plain explanation of the rule. Once enough people have taken the test, it shows how your score compares with other takers too.

What this test is not

This is an informal reasoning test for practice and fun. It is not a clinical or standardised IQ assessment, and it does not give you an IQ number. Formal IQ assessments are run by trained professionals under set conditions.

Your result reflects how you did on these puzzles on one day. Rest, focus and practice can all change it, and none of it measures your worth or decides your future.

FAQ

IQ test FAQs

Is this IQ test free?

Yes. The test and your short result, a level from 1 to 6, are free with no sign-up. The full report is optional at ₹100 (US$2 outside India), and only adults aged 18 or over can buy it.

Will I get an IQ score?

No. This is not a clinical IQ test, so it gives no IQ number. The free result is a level based on how many puzzles you solved, and the full report shows your exact score out of 30.

How long does the test take?

There is no time limit. Most people finish the 30 puzzles in about 20 minutes.

What kinds of questions are in the test?

Six kinds: pattern grids, figure sequences, number series, logic puzzles, word-meaning puzzles and spatial puzzles with turned or flipped shapes. They start easy and get harder as you go.

Can I see the correct answers?

The full report includes every question with the correct answer and an explanation of the rule, so you can learn from the ones you missed.

How does my score compare with other people?

The free level describes only your own score. Once enough people have taken the test, the full report also shows how your score compares with other takers.

Can I take the IQ test in Hindi?

Yes. The same 30 puzzles are available in Hindi, and none of them depend on spelling or wordplay, so the test is fair in either language.
