O mind, worship the merciful Shri Ramachandra, who removes the terrible fear of worldly life: his eyes, face, hands and feet are like fresh red lotuses, his beauty surpasses countless Kamadevas, he is dark as a new rain cloud and his yellow robe shines like lightning. Tulsidas sings of the friend of the humble, the Sun to the demon clans, the joy of the Raghus and son of Dasharatha, crowned and armed with bow and arrows, victor over Khara and Dushana, and asks him to dwell in the lotus of his heart and destroy desire and the other enemies within.
