Birth date compatibility
Compare with a friend
Enter your birth date and send the link to a friend, your partner or someone in the family. When they add theirs, you both see how your two numbers get along.
Start with your birth date
You will get a link to send. When your friend adds their birth date, you both see the match.
Worked out on this device. Your birth date is never sent or stored, and the link carries only one digit.
How it works
Enter your birth date. Your Mulank is the day of the month added down to one digit: born on the 23rd, 2 + 3 = 5; born on the 9th, it is simply 9.
Send the link to anyone you like. It carries only that one digit, your Mulank, never your birth date. When your friend opens it and adds their own birth date, the page shows how your two numbers match, and they can send their result back to you.
If you already know the other person's birth date, you can enter both dates yourself and see the match straight away.
What the match means
In Vedic numerology each number from 1 to 9 belongs to a planet: 1 to the Sun, 2 to the Moon, 3 to Jupiter, 4 to Rahu, 5 to Mercury, 6 to Venus, 7 to Ketu, 8 to Saturn and 9 to Mars. The planets of your two numbers are read as friendly, neutral or challenging towards each other, in both directions, and together those give the pair its overall tone.
The result shows that tone with a short reading. Every one of the 45 pairs also has its own page, with what works, where friction comes from, and advice for everyday life, marriage and business.
A match is where the conversation starts
A challenging pair does not mean a friendship or a marriage will fail, and a friendly pair does not promise an easy one. The reading describes natural differences in temperament, so that you can talk about them.
Numerology is a tradition, offered here for reflection and enjoyment. It has not been shown to predict how a relationship will go, so please don't let a number make a decision for you.
FAQ
Comparing birth dates: questions and answers
Is my birth date shared with my friend?
No. The link you send carries one digit, your Mulank, and nothing else. Your birth date stays in your browser: it is not sent to us, saved, or put in the link.
How is birth date compatibility worked out?
Each person's Mulank is their day of birth reduced to a single digit. The planets that rule the two numbers are then read as friendly, neutral or challenging towards each other in both directions, and the two directions together give the overall tone of the pair.
Can I compare with more than one person?
Yes. Send the same link to as many people as you like; each of them sees their own match with you. You can also change the second birth date on the page to compare with someone else.
Is this the same as kundli matching?
No. Kundli matching compares two birth charts on 36 points, using each person's Moon sign and birth star, and needs the time and place of birth. This page compares two Mulank numbers and needs only the birth dates.
